AiSwift — AI Resume Builder & ATS Optimizer

What Data Is Collected

AI Resume Builder processes the following data only when you explicitly trigger an action:

• Selected text — the job description text you highlight on a webpage.
• Profile text — your resume or experience summary that you paste into the extension.
• Google account email — used for authentication and rate limiting only.

PII Masking

Before your resume text is sent to any AI model, we automatically mask personally identifiable information including:

• Email addresses
• Phone numbers (international formats)
• Personal URLs (LinkedIn, GitHub, portfolio)
• Your name

Masked data is replaced with tokens (e.g., [EMAIL_001]) before AI processing, then restored in the final output. The AI model never sees your actual contact information.

How Data Is Stored

• Your profile text is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API. It never leaves your browser unless you trigger an action.
• Generated files (PDF/DOCX) are created on-demand and automatically deleted within 5 minutes.
• No resume text or job descriptions are stored on our servers after processing.

Authentication

We use Google Sign-In solely for authentication and rate limiting. We store only your email address to track daily usage quotas. We do not access your Google contacts, calendar, drive, or any other Google services.

What Data Is NOT Collected

• We do not collect browsing history, cookies, or tracking data.
• We do not sell or share any data with third parties.
• We do not use advertising trackers.
• We do not access any data unless you explicitly click an action button.
• We do not use your data to train AI models.

Permissions Explained

• contextMenus — to add right-click options when you select text.
• sidePanel — to show the extension interface in Chrome's side panel.
• storage — to save your profile locally on your device.
• activeTab — to read selected text from the current tab when you trigger an action.
• downloads — to save generated PDF/DOCX files to your computer.
• identity — to authenticate with your Google account.

Third-Party AI Providers

AI processing is performed using large language models via our API server. Your personal information is masked before processing — the AI model receives only anonymized resume content and job descriptions. We use providers that do not use API inputs for training purposes.

Your Rights

• You can delete all stored data by removing the extension from Chrome.
• You can clear your profile at any time from the extension settings.
• You can request deletion of your account data by contacting us.

Children

AiSwift is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13.

Changes

If we update this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Our core promise won't change: your privacy is not our business model.
